We are Scheduled to begin on Sat March 10, so at this time there is nothing to report. Many of you ( my friends and customers ) have asked me why ? I have always been adventurous, being a free enterpriser all my life and of course have to answer first...Why Not!

It is no secret that the workload I imposed on myself, and the self induced stress of running several small businesses, sometimes several at once, have had a toll on my health. So now, I submit to you , I'm not even sure I can make this ride, but am going to give it my very best physical effort. I have a bad left ankle from an accident 12 years ago, and even with surgery it is failing again. My right knee has a permanent injury from sports and is most likely a candidate for surgery as well as my right shoulder. Add to that 4 blood pressure medicines, 80 lbs to much weight and I'm very close to being a full blown diabetic. On the plus side I have had training on the bike, I am capable of 60-100 miles a day or more, have the support of my wife and many friends, tenacity and a willingness to change. I say that, like many people overweight, I have been in denial for years of the effects of stress, poor diet, lack of exercise and have come to my limit . I just can't live with myself like this any more and am at that precipice in life where I am going to do something about it, with the hope of gaining more useful and healthful years in the future. None of use are going to get out of this life alive but I personally want to spend as many of them as productive and healthy as I can !

I hope that in chronicling this adventure I can in some way not only accomplish this goal but inspire others that might have that dream, goal or purpose in life. In short is this old broken body can heal and do it, many of you can too.
